I have been given some GPS coordinates to a camping location in the desert that I want to add to my trip. How can I do that?
There isn’t currently an option to add waypoints by searching for GPS coordinates. The best way to add a place off the beaten path, like a trailhead or dispersed camping spot, is to zoom into that area on the map and drop a pin.
If you’re using the desktop site, you can drop a pin by right-clicking on the map until the pin is dropped. If you’re using the mobile app, do a long-press on the map until the pin is dropped. Then you can select Add to Trip, and if you swipe up on the pin drawer you’ll see the coordinates for the dropped pin.
One other suggestion - check out the Campendium category! If you filter by public land, you’ll see some great dispersed camping options.
