Is it possible to hike the “via” waypoints from the itinerary? We are planning a trip via the Blueridge Parkway, and there are many “via” waypoints that I had to enter to keep us on that route. Thanks in advance.

There isn’t currently a way to hide via waypoints from your itinerary or the map. They’ll show up alongside your regular stops for now. I’d encourage you to add your vote to this feature request. Community votes help our team see the interest in this feature and you’ll be notified of any updates.

Wow! We’re planning a drive the entire length of the BRP. Having the same hassle with many waypoints. I go back and remove them here and there, and the trip does a partial reroute, which means dragging routes back to the BRP. Same issue with later in the trip when we’re doing that Natchez Trace
If you opt to avoid highways, it’s still difficult to manage.
You cannot drive the BRP between Mount Mitchell and Linville Gorge area in NC currently - so check https://www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/roadclosures.htm before you travel. We are hoping that it opens this fall but it’s not a sure thing.
