Just joined today, trying to map route with new 28 foot Thor class c. Got this for the features of routing Rv friendly routes but this seems to be taking me way out of the way we would normally travel. My area of concern is Baltimore tunnel area. This is trying to route me over Chesapeake bay bridge, so out of the way, I thought with Scott key bridge gone 695 west is the best option. Am I wrong? And why doesn’t it even suggest that route? Headed north from Fla to mass..any help?
As you’re adding stops to your trip, the trip planner automatically calculates the most efficient route based on your input. If you’re traveling with an RV, the route will also be influenced by your vehicle’s dimensions. Roadtrippers will try to choose the most reasonable, while still efficient, route in that case.
If you’d prefer to take a different route than the one suggested, you can easily customize it on the desktop site by dragging and dropping the route line. This creates what are called “via waypoints,” which help guide your route along your preferred path.
Any changes you make on desktop will automatically sync to the mobile app. You can learn more about customizing your route here: Quickly Customize a Trip’s Route.
