Make Private the default setting

I note that by default, all my routes are Public. Can I make the default Private?

We don’t have a way to make all trips private by default, but you can quickly update the privacy settings for any trip you create! Instructions for doing this live here.

Thanks, but between trips, which can be months, its easy to forget. And right now I am breaking a long trip down into places we spend the nights, so it’s very tedious to change the setting on each one

Privacy should be the default mindset for all sites.

I love this service, but I truly think adding privacy for all trips as a setting option, or defaulting trips to private and allowing the option for public is a much better user setting option. Most people I know who use this don’t want their personal information for addresses available for anyone to see. That’s a potential security risk. Please consider fixing this
