Hi, We are planning a trip where we would like to be able to switch back and forth between using highways and avoiding them? Also, is there a way to tell trip planning to use a specific route such as Lewis and Clark Trail or in our case The Great River Road? Much appreciate any help. Thank you, Jonathan ---

There isn’t currently a way to set highway avoidances for different “legs” of your trip, but you can absolutely do this manually! We call it customizing your route. If you’re using our website, you can drag and drop the route to follow the roads you prefer for any part of your trip. That approach works great if you’re looking to follow something like the Lewis and Clark Trail. Check out this guide on how to do that, and circle back with any specific questions: [https://support.roadtrippers.com/hc/en-us/articles/201310953-Quickly-Customize-a-Trip-s-Route](https://support.roadtrippers.com/hc/en-us/articles/201310953-Quickly-Customize-a-Trip-s-Route)
